The Find-It Guide - Privacy Notice

Privacy Policy

  1. Collection and storage of personal data

We collect and process personal data when you order products in our portal, register for our newsletter or participate in prize draws.

Furthermore, we collect and store data to a certain extent which are created when using the website.

    1. Personal and content data

We collect and process personal and content data as follows:

      • a) User account

Private users (consumers) who are not operating commercially are not required to register. However, for specific online services, such as newsletters or placing a classified advertisement, the user must set up a personal user account. In this case, the consumer must provide his first name, surname and e-mail address.

For persons operating commercially (entrepreneurs), registration is necessary, to the extent that the company name, registered office and contact details, including the e-mail address, must be provided.

We require your personal and content data in order to implement and fulfil the contracts concluded by you with us through the portal. We use the data for the implementation of the orders, processing of payments and all other relevant requirements. We also use your data in order to contact you with regard to orders that have been placed, as far as necessary, provided that this is admissible and also possibly for the purpose of own advertising.

We also use your e-mail address in order to send you our newsletter and/or messages.

Furthermore, newsletters can, of course, be cancelled again at any time, by either sending an appropriate e-mail or simply clicking on the relevant link at the end of the newsletter.

      • b) Orders

With an order in the portal, we basically only collect and store the following data from you:

        • Form of address
        • First name and surname
        • Street, building number, postal code, town, country
        • E-mail address

Depending on which payment type you select, it can also occur that you may need to provide account details or other payment details.

Insofar as the selected type of payment involves an external payment service provider, you may be required to provide additional details to the payment service provider, or you may already have done so, if you already hold an account there. Accordingly, the details regarding the relevant payment service provider's data protection policy shall also apply. These can envisage sending specific data to us during the course of the payment process.

    2. Usage data

When using our website, some data always accumulates, so-called usage data:

      • a) Logfiles

If you visit our Internet site, our servers store specific data in logfiles. A log file contains information about the Internet browser/operating system used by the visitor and the IP address allocated to the Internet connection from which you have accessed the website, the domain name of the website from which you have accessed our website, the beginning and end of the visit to our website, the quantity of data transferred, the sub-pages of our website that have been accessed. After no later than 7 days, the IP address is shortened by the last octet, so it is absolutely not possible to establish a reference to your Internet connection, neither for us, nor for anyone else.

      • b) Cookies

Within the context of our website, we used so-called cookies.
Cookies are small text files, which are stored locally in the buffer of your Internet browser, which enable recognition of the browser and through which specific information flows to us.

        • "Session cookies" allow us to hold form data within the ordering process, which are required beyond several pages. After the respective sessions have ended, these data are removed from the session and the cookie is deleted.
        • For advertising purposes or to optimise our service, we can permit third parties to set or recognise individual cookies on your computer. None of the information that is made accessible to third parties through cookies is personally identifiable, but can supply general segment information, which enables an adaptation of the displayed content to your preferred use.

If you intend to prevent the use of cookies, the option is available to prevent the acceptance and storage of new cookies in your browser. You can find out how this works with your browser, e.g. within the context of the browser's help functions.

      • c) Use of Facebook plugins (Like button)

Plugins from the social network, Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated into some of our web pages. The Facebook plugins can be identified by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our website. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

If you visit our website, a direct link will be established between your browser and the Facebook server by the plugin. With this, Facebook receives information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook "Like" button, while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our website to your Facebook profile. This way, Facebook can allocate your visit to our website to your user account. We point out that as a vendor of the website, we receive no knowledge about the content of the data sent or their use by Facebook. Additional information on this can be found in the data protection policy of Facebook at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not wish Facebook to allocate your visit to our website to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

        • bb) Otherwise, your personal and content data will only be passed on,

          • if and as soon as it is necessary to do so, in order to implement the existing contractual relationships or to enforce claims to which we are entitled,
          • if we are legally obligated to do so or required to do so by a court of law,
          • if the legal requirements exist for sending personal data through a claim against you to credit reference agencies and
          • if it involves enquiries from official bodies, particularly legal prosecution and supervisory authorities, if and insofar as it is necessary to defend from risks to public safety and order, as well as to prosecute crimes.
    2. Usage data

Through the utilisation data, we gain statistical information about how our portal is used. This way we find out, for example, at what times use is particularly intensive, how the navigation within the portal is proceeding, for which products and product combinations there is particularly high interest, etc. We use the results for technical and editorial/commercial improvement of our service. Through the statistical information on browser types and operating systems, we can also optimise our web design.

We reserve the right to place links to other websites on our website.

As soon as you click on a relevant link, we no longer have any influence on the processing of any further personal data that is transferred by clicking on the third-party link. Therefore, we assume no responsibility for the processing of such personal data by third parties.

However, such data shall be blocked.

If you should nevertheless have questions regarding data protection at AdvantiPro GmbH, please feel free to contact our data protection officer. Simply write an e-mail to sabine@advantipro.de.

  5. Security measures

We employ technical and organisational security measures in order to ensure that the personal data of our users are protected from loss, changes and unauthorised access by third parties. In any event, only authorised persons shall have access to your personal data from our website and only insofar as it is necessary within the context of the aforementioned purposes.
